Challenge
Seek was my first project in which I was tasked with envisioning a startup that hired me to design a modern mobile app for post-pandemic travel planning.
Through user interviews and testing, a common challenge emerged: many travelers struggle to fully immerse themselves in their experiences due to uncertainty about where to find the best activities and lingering concerns about overspending, both of which often overshadow the planning process.

Memories,
& Community
Solution
The solution is Seek, a travel app that makes discovering and planning activities effortless while keeping travelers mindful of their budgets.
With a seamless, visually engaging experience, Seek streamlines trip planning through curated recommendations, and an interactive budgeting tools. Intuitive navigation ensures users can explore, organize, and track their trips—staying present, spending wisely, and creating lasting memories.
The three main pain points identified are:
Overspending,
Poor Planning,
Lack of Lasting Memories
Seek addresses pain points through its three main tools:
Plan,
Seek,
My Diary

Journey
Insights were obtained through five user interviews, followed by the creation of an affinity diagram, empathy map, and user persona based on the findings.

“I feel like I don't have the full benefit of the trip because I don't take sufficient time to search for places and stuff to do.”
-Interviewee 1
“It feels like I always end up overspending because of hidden fees, no matter what service I use.”
-Interviewee 2
Following the interviews, the results were analyzed and organized into six distinct categories, forming an affinity diagram that subsequently informed the empathy map.

Post-Design
This project was my first in the Columbia UX UI Design Bootcamp.
This was an exciting journey into understanding user needs and transforming those insights into actionable design solutions. Seeing how creativity and research have the power to transform user experiences.
I honed my skills in user research, synthesis, and creating intuitive designs that truly resonate with users. While the final outcome feels like a solid step forward, I see every project as an opportunity to grow
Future steps
Rewards System: Introduce a feature to incentivize user engagement and foster loyalty through points or perks.
Live Map with Trends and Reviews: Provide real-time insights by displaying user activity, popular spots, and reviews on an interactive map.
Collaborative Travel Planning: Enable group trip planning with tools that allow users to share ideas, vote on options, and organize details together.
